Renewals, auto-renew and what happens at expiry

Auto-renew (on by default) charges your saved card about 30 days before expiry and renews the domain for a year. The card you use at checkout is saved automatically. We email you well before anything is due, and again if a charge fails.

If a domain does expire: most TLDs give a grace period (typically up to 30–45 days) where a normal renewal still works, then a redemption period where restoring costs extra, and finally the domain is released to the public. Don't rely on those windows — renew early.

Renew manually any time from the domain page ("Renew now"), or select several domains in My domains and use the bulk renew action.
